Marketing Strategy & Brand Identity
There's a version of marketing that's all output — more posts, more emails, a new logo, a louder website — and it rarely fixes the actual problem. The actual problem is usually upstream: you haven't decided precisely who you're for, what you're genuinely better at than the alternatives, and what you want someone to feel in the first four seconds. Without those decisions, every tactic is a guess, and guesses are expensive.
I work on the decisions underneath the marketing — and then I help you build them. That means brand identity and positioning, audience definition, messaging architecture and voice, competitive differentiation, and a marketing strategy that tells you where to spend your limited attention and where to stop. Sometimes that's building a brand from scratch. More often it's honing one that already exists — a business that has grown past its original story and needs language that matches what it's actually become.
I'm hands-on with the strategy and the language itself. I'm not the person running your channels afterward: I'll build your messaging framework and voice guidelines, and your team or your freelancers post from them. You leave with a documented strategy and the actual words, so the next thing you make is aimed at something.
This work often looks like: brand identity and positioning · audience and ideal-client definition · messaging frameworks and value propositions · brand voice and tone guidelines · repositioning an established brand · marketing strategy and channel prioritization · naming and tagline strategy · marketing audits and creative direction · briefs your designers and writers can actually use
Best for: a business that's outgrown its original brand · a founder whose marketing feels busy but not effective · an organization entering a new market or audience · a team that needs a brief before they hire a designer.
